Warm greetings to our growing army of change makers and rewilders!

Warm greetings to our growing army of change makers and rewilders!

We have been extremely busy building the foundation upon which Rewilding Africa intends becoming a highly influential and meaningful contributor to the community conservation landscape in Africa.

Our goals are bold and ambitious and until we have successfully implemented our theory of change and the paradigm shift that is needed, we will continue to work selflessly towards a vision far greater than ourselves.

There has never been more of a need than NOW, to truly invest in and support initiatives and programs that empower the wilderness communities in Africa, to not only protect their own nature, but to also thrive from it, and ultimately without the need for continuous financial support and donor handouts from the global north and developed world.

?You can all play a part in this movement in some way or another and please spread the word, we still need many more change makers in our corner!

Your contributions, no matter how much you can afford to give on a monthly basis, is so important for us to be able to continue with our work and will help fund aspects such as:

?

  • employing internal staff and external service providers to assist with administration, research, marketing, stakeholder management, fund raising etc
  • allow for Rewilding Africa to attend game changer conferences and events around the globe, so our presence and voice can truly be heard amongst the bigger, more recognised brands?
  • provide us the ability to lobby, motivate and encourage global private wealth, governments and corporates to get behind us, and to enable our vital beneficiary driven program to be rolled out in every country in Africa!
  • Provide education, back up and training support to our growing list of Africa implementation beneficiaries who are tasked with rolling out our rewilding program

Our Ambassador team is also growing!?

We now have 40 ambassadors from 19 different countries listed on?

www.rewildingafrica.org.uk/become-an-ambassador/

These are all passionate individuals who have voluntarily joined our movement and who want to make a real difference. We are still looking to appoint more individual and business Ambassadors who are prepared to offer their services to help us achieve our goals.

What is a multiple land use, multiple revenue stream Community Conservancy and why does Rewilding Africa believe this model is the most important community conservation intervention this century?

?The term Community Conservancy implies both COMMUNITY and CONSERVATION.? Rewilding Africa believes that communities around the globe hold the key to sustainable rewilding and the long term protection and management of our last remaining biodiversity, whilst benefiting from its sustainable consumptive and non consumption use, in a meaningful and well considered manner.

?The Rewilding Africa model relies on being able to bring together multiple land owners and communities that occupy the land surrounding national parks under one shared and agreed land use and management structure. By working together, these Community Conservancies firstly need to have nature positive formal master land use planning concluded, as a precursor to the creation of data rich spatial development frameworks and governance structures that in turn will identify and provide appropriate opportunities for investment and business development at the scale required to provide sufficient alternative livelihoods and make them self sufficient after an estimated 10 year program period.
