Warm Feet and Full Stomachs

Warm Feet and Full Stomachs

On 1st?November Crossways, our winter emergency accommodation project, reopened its doors to guests who would otherwise be facing time on the streets. We are already operating at near full capacity every night.

We are always humbled by the generosity of the community, whose help we rely upon to ensure the comfort of every guest.?In the past week we have received donations from several of our regular supporters.

Since 2020,?BEFA?(Buckingham Emergency Food Appeal) have provided us with fresh fruit, vegetables and other items. Without their donations our volunteer kitchen team would find it difficult to prepare the daily hot meals we offer every guest, or keep our cupboards stocked. Thanks go to Ken Smith, BEFA’s amazing coordinator, and his team of helpers.

Emma was happy to receive the latest weekly delivery. We’ll make sure nothing goes to waste.

Bare Necessities?are a local charity with a simple idea.?Raise money from individuals via small, regular donations, and then use these funds to buy socks, underwear and other items that can bring comfort to those who are on the streets or in need.

Todd Mackintosh , Bare Necessities founder, popped in for a visit and to deliver over 300 pairs of socks and underwear for both women and men.?We thank Todd for his continuing support.

We would also like to thank the Department of Geography at Cambridge University for their generous £300 donation. The money will help with our food and housekeeping costs.

If you’d like to donate food, personal, other items or money to support Crossways, please refer to this?list.
