The war is between real and unreal powers. (A Course in Miracles)

“Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.” – A Course in Miracles

Wisdom is the knowing of what is real and what is unreal. Faith is the ability to concern oneself only with what is real.

That which is real, by definition, cannot be threatened, changed, or destroyed. It is beyond good and bad. It is permanent, eternal. Nothing from the realm of the physical meets this criterion because all form is unstable and constantly changing.

Our bodies change. Ideas change. Countries and cultures change. Movements change. This is the stuff of life – first growing and then dying, but always changing. Life is meant to be experienced, enjoyed, but life is not meant to be taken so seriously.

When we fight for something that is unstable, when we identify with it and cling to it, we are attempting to make truth of something that cannot be truth. It will slip away, leaving us in despair every time.

Success in life is knowing who you are and what is true. This requires that we go deeply within, to the source of love. The energy you feel in the inner body now, the love you can feel for yourself and all brothers and sisters now, the ability to observe everything within your field of awareness now, this is your identity – not the mind. Know thyself, so that you may come to know what some call “God”. We continue tomorrow and each day after that.
