Students meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 10 AM to 3 PM.?High School students receive $400 stipend and college students get a stipend of over $500.
Every year students get the chance to interact with outstanding leaders. See link below from 2015 when the students met with?Andre Leon Talley, who passed away recentl. Andre, was an AMerican fashion journalist, stylist, creative director and editor at large of Vogue.?He suggested to the interns pursue your passion, persevere and never give up.?
Last summer the student interns met with Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser, former resident of Hastings and two years ago the students had the opportunity to ask former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton quesetions via zoom.?Students host public service announcements, lobby for legislation, speak at Town Board meetings, meet with community leaders. And work on interesting projects.?This internship is also a great opportunity for students from different school districts within Greenburgh to work together.

The summer internship is just one of a number of programs that town Clerk Beville and Supervisor Feiner are sponsoring. Students interested in helping small businesses that are struggling can sign up for the Zuckerberg/Greenburgh post pandemic task force and use social media skills - helping struggling businesses survive. And, last week we announced plans to set up a student news network - students will host and produce their own TV news program about local news.
