Want Twitter Advice? Take Mine by Taking Theirs.
I’ve been trying to figure out Twitter. What works, what doesn’t. The secret behind likes, retweets and followers. (Let’s not even get into Super Followers or Communities
As a B2B sales consultant/coach with another book coming out, I could use a few more followers. Especially if they are the right kind of followers. I'm hoping to connect with startups, founders, bootstrappers and the investors that believe in them. Those are my people, and ideally my ideal customers.
And while Twitter isn’t immediately intuitive or without its idiosyncrasies (at least for me), there is good news to report.
Twitter, it turns out, happens to be an excellent resource for learning about Twitter. There is excellent teaching and sharing going on. And I’ve learned a bunch in recent weeks.
So in my small way, I'll return the favor by listing a few people that have been particularly helpful as I get up to Twitter-speed.
Brandon Zhang – I've literally watch it account blow up in months.
Robbie Crabtree - Great insight on Twitter and more.
Aadit S – He has a free PDF resource of key Twitter tips
Andy Black – Fascinating tweet threads that deconstruct how Twitter works, and doesn’t
Alex Llull – Visually compelling tweets that will change how you think about your posts
Yannick – Continuous, actionable Twitter advice… and a great podcast
Arvid Kahl – You know this already. But read his blog post ‘How I Use Twitter’
Admittedly, it’s an incomplete list of Twitter experts, but I’ve learned volumes from these folks. Each is generous with their knowledge and crisp (and compelling) with their advice.
Like you, I’m looking to get better at Twitter. If I can share any advice, it would be to take their advice.
