What do you want in life struggle or flow? Definitely to flow - right? Now question is who choose, decide and make the life way you want? To go a bit deeper, I would like to draw your attention to what Viktor E. Frankl said on growth and freedom;
?“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
?There is no doubt that, the stimulus or “life-situation in now” an inevitable destiny. However, the “life-situation in next moment” is of infinite possibilities. So, who is the driver or responsible between “now” and “next-moment”? It is the outer-Karma ((i.e., response to stimulus); which is influenced by inner-Karma. In simple, inner-Karma drives the stimulus or trigger a “life-situation in now” and outer-Karma (i.e., response to stimulus) drives the “quality of life-situation in next moment”, whether it is struggle or flow. Hence Keanu Reeves said;
?"When you truly understand karma, then you realize you are responsible?for everything in your life."
?
Hence, let's not blame god, family or circumstance, as only we are responsible for our struggle or flow. Let’s go a bit deeper on causality of struggle or flow. If you are “un-conscious in now”; you will you will succumb to the influence of inner-Karma and will not be able to cross comfort zone and your response will be nothing special, life boring, full of unfulfilled desires, attachment to result (aversion or cravings), sense of deprivation, unsure uncertain future and friction within you. In simple, you will be in obsession and will get a sense of struggle.
?However, if you are “conscious in now” you will recognize the negative pull of inner-Karma. Once you do so; the inner-Karma will start losing its power over you , you will concur your own fear of failure/criticism, anxiety, anger and cross the comfort-zone. You start feeling empowered over life-situation with courage and move from desire to quest. In last edition of this newsletter, we analyzed that “detachment to result” is the medicine to resolve paradox of desire vs quest.

?Now the same medicine resolves the paradox of struggle vs flow and obsession vs passion. Once you have expectation with quest but not with desire, you start realizing and feeling of inner-power, energy, the hope to be alive and vibrant, no excruciating pain snatching the entire focus, merging with joy and challenging the adventure, feeling of being able-stable-unshakable, ?having food on plate and the ability to experience all taste fully, getting to sleep peacefully without body and mind acting against me, getting to wake up without any lifechanging negative realization, having a new day to live each morning, feeling of being free and not pulled away from life by a rope tied to my neck, having eyes of joy around and not the scary looks of hopelessness and pity, having a vision of life and not a hope to find some hope, having infinite energy to get up, move, sit, walk, talk, and act, without any burden on body, laughing with carefreeness, appreciating everything I have with gratitude, contributing to feel significance , shining like a star, blooming loke a flower and flowing like a river naturally. Once the struggle is it is transmuted to flow, biologically stress hormone (i.e., adrenaline) gets transmuted to pleasant hormone (i.e., oxytocin and dopamine) giving you a pleasure of effortlessness, flow and freedom. ?
?Kindly add your views in comment, on how to respond to “every stimulus in now” consciously (i.e., without aversion and craving) and flow with life ?like a river without struggle.?

1 年Struggle is integral part of life/nature. Nature itself is best example of struggle: seed turning into tree is the struggle but whole process flows without stress step wise step, not bothering or concerning about previous or next steps. Every process does what is required in full potential and then leave it next step to take it further by supporting its own function. The same applies to society/human being, but they attach themselves with process and results, that is called: struggle.

1 年Nice one Prashant Panigrahi II TCS though I feel your inner self/voice is actually responsible for your well being. Not the ego self but the higher conscious self. It will guide you y to what you really want. Often we define our wants based on outer influences. But those tend to be misguided. More about flow in my latest blog. Karma is selfless action, and when you are in flow, karma is actually pure joy. https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/follow-way-water-virat-bahri-
