Want to stand out from the crowd, and stop getting overlooked?
How do you stand out from the crowd? Especially when recruiters receive hundreds of CVs every day. Tailoring your CV to align with the job description will make all the difference when applying for your next role.
The average time and I do emphasis the "average time” a recruiter takes to review your application is six seconds. I personally feel that Recruiters cant absorb all of the information, skills and experiences of a candidate within six seconds, however this seems to be the industry wide average.
When you tailor your CV to highlight the key skills and abilities included in the job description, your chances of landing an interview are dramatically stronger. Pay particular attention to the essential requirements, as this is the most insightful part of the job description.
Remember to include your key achievements within each role you’ve held, this will speak to your ability to perform in a new role as past performance is a good future indicator.
If you can effectively and concisely convey to the hiring team that you have the relevant skills and experience, to that listed on the JD, it’s easier for the team to understand your true value to the business in the role.
As a recruiter its simple to see when a candidate has put a lot of time and thought into their application, alongside really understanding the key purpose of why the business is hiring the role.
Ideally you will be able to tell a clear and concise story of your applicable skills and experience, then the interviewer will feel like they have a good knowledge base of your abilities........all before you enter the building.

5 年I would suggest tailoring your CV to draw out the similarity's in your skills/experience to align with the essential and desirable requirements of the role. You could use similar information but include the most relevant points first and altering the opening statement to include a snapshot of why you could be an asset in the role.?
