Now this is probably going to sound counterintuitive and ironic ?? but to give people strength, sometimes you need to show your own weaknesses.
So if you want to show up more confidently in your business, on camera, or on stage…
Share the stories you’re ashamed to admit.
Often.
And watch what happens.
Like this true story about me…
“I’m bad at giving up control and depending on others to help me with things. This is partially OCD and partially trust issues.
This stifles my business because you can only grow so far without eventually delegating the tasks you suck at or don’t want to do. My control freak tendencies are a time-wasting expense that has overstayed its welcome. So last year, I did something about it.”
Can you, too, relate to being a control freak or a perfectionist? ??
Do you notice a similar flaw about yourself that you’re now inspired to share? ??

To share something (publicly) that you’re embarrassed by takes bravery. But you can end that story by capping it off with the lesson you learned or the moment things changed, which will definitely soften the blow to your ego.
As you do this often, you’ll realize why vulnerability is the ultimate strength. Plus, your conversion rates will improve as you become both extremely relatable and hyper-unique to your audience.
Sustained confidence comes from unapologetic self-awareness. However, this isn’t a state that is easy to reach. It may feel unnatural at first, like when you were called upon by your grade school teacher to answer a tough question you didn’t do homework for, ha!
But to earn the love and support of the audience you seek, you must go first by giving them a reason to believe. Confidence begets confidence.
Start with a simple story like…
I’m telling you, these are all more relatable things than you think, ha!
I mean, everyone’s comfy sharing their highlight reel, but what about your darkest moments just before you earned those highlights?
Your peaks are great but don’t sleep on your valleys; there are tons of merit in them.
Come clean to your audience, and they’ll return the favor with their stories, attention, and, eventually, loyalty.
You can even use this as practice.?Share one thing that’s hard to admit to in the comments below, along with how you’re growing or have grown since it.
