Our Project Management workshop is designed to involve individuals already practicing project management or are involved in ad hoc projects, and looking at continuously improving their skills through best practice and lessons learned.

The workshop will give you the opportunity to build on relevant aspects of your own experience, structure and practice through, among others, using a relevant case study.

Project management needs to fit in with total business planning and needs a commercial and technical mindset to add value.

The workshop is not intended to qualify you as a project manager, but rather to look at sustainable improvements within an environment where ideas and concepts can be exchanged with others.

Projects are sometimes inter-departmental and inter-company, or scoped for non-production-orientated goals, and should therefore be of interest to a wide variety of people.

Amongst the topics that will receive attention include:

·        Planning aspects and use of software applications, e.g. software options that could improve efficiencies;

·        Budgeting aspects, e.g. estimating towards your schedule and how to track implementation and return;

·        Involving subordinates in completion of projects, e.g. team selection and team motivation;

·        Identification and management of risks, e.g. drawing up risk profiles and management of responses;

·        Using lessons learned, e.g. interacting with stakeholders, project participants and project environment pro-actively, and

·        Evaluation of projects during and after completion, e.g. using data analysis and metrics for project improvement.
