As someone who uses ChatGPT an unhealthy amount of time in the day for work, productivity, or ideas, I am super excited that we now have a Google equivalent in the name of Bard. Now, I don't know much about Bard in terms of what Bard stands for, but I do know what it means for me as someone who likes to make life easier in terms of my productivity and my day-to-day.
So, Bard is a response to ChatGPT from Google, which they've created to allow users to have the same AI functionality that most people have with ChatGPT. What makes it more accessible is the fact that it allows you to Google, and it's super accessible now since ChatGPT no longer allows a lot of people to apply for it. So, you can definitely just Google Bard, make sure that you have a Google account, and then you connect it directly to Bard and you can now use that as your personal assistant online.
Now, here's why using AI is important and it should be something that you consider in your day-to-day. Most tasks are very repetitive and are not the most fun tasks that you need to think about, for example, creating a table or analyzing data. But AI basically does is that it can handle that mundane work-related stuff, and then all you can then do is just focus on submitting on time and making sure that the information gets to where it needs to go.

So, think of it as maybe if we had to give an example, you are in your office, you work as an admin. In my case, I am a Salesforce admin, and I also have to interact with clients. What I can do is that I can create email templates using Bard, and what it can then do is that it will feed off of the inputs that I give it to create the relevant information. So, for example, if I tell it that "please create customer support templates for my team mate so that when I'm not available, they can just load up a Google doc that has a list of templates that I usually use so that they sound or maybe they respond to clients the same way I do as maybe as an admin or as a support agent," you can do this using Bard because then you can create those templates, specify them using the same way you do it with ChatGPT, but more accessible, and at the same time, you can even Google them on the spot.
So, for example, if you need a custom email template, you can just search it, take the input tag, paste it back, and say "please personalize this to meet the requirements or to meet my specifications," and then that becomes then a list of templates, and then what you can then do is you can then say "um, please format this in the form of a table," and then once that is formatted as a table, you can save it, send it to your teammate so that they can also use that same language as you would use so that there is standardization across the board, and no one is maybe being too informal or being too formal, you can then create the right tone amongst the entire team to make sure that everyone is alright.
That's just one use case, but then the possibilities are endless. Do you need an idea of how a project might work because maybe you haven't yet received your project? You can use it to generate ideas. How about you may be stuck on a piece of code that you don't know? Well, lucky for you, it is trained with a lot of languages. I mean, for Salesforce, it has Apex. I literally tested it out by asking it to recreate a form that I was creating for my team, where we wanted to create a custom web-to-case form that was very intuitive, stylish, and branded with our fake company's data and branding included, and we were able to do that. So imagine if it allows me to do that with an open-source platform that is accessible at Google. The future of AI is endless, and the benefits are that these more turn-around times, things are getting done quicker, you're being more productive in your job, people now hire you to be the face behind the work. So I know I saw this on TikTok where someone mentioned and said most companies when they hire you, they are hiring you to perform a role, and also they want to see you perform that role and see your personality as well. So what you now have is that you now have tools such as AI that allow you to perform that role, and your personality shines through even more because now you've got more time, less stress on your hands, and you're being productive. And I believe that a productive employee is a happy employee
