Want to Make Money? Invest in CEOs
It is not easy to find a company CEO who you can trust to deliver year after year. But when you do, you will make money. So let’s talk about why you want to invest in CEOs as much as their companies.
Yes, some CEOs are grossly overpaid. But a handful consistently demonstrate excellence, dominate their respective fields, and make money for shareholders for decades.
Invest in CEOs – and start with these three
Some company leaders are bankable, meaning they will deliver a hefty return if you invest in them. Here are three of my favorites, in no particular order.
Michael Dell of Dell Computers
Michael Dell’s eponymous company is quickly transforming with the advent of AI, but it was 30 years ago when he first made a name for himself.
His company was a top performer in the 1990s, and he made everyone on Wall Street and Main Street a ton of money. I remember marveling at the stock’s performance, which seemed to go up every single day. He knew the public didn’t want to wait forever to get their hands on the latest personal computer, so he made them faster than anyone else.
If you invested in Dell for the long term, you made out nicely. And considering that he is still rather young at 59, I put your money on him now, sit back, and watch it grow.
Jensen Huang of NVIDIA
NVIDIA is revolutionizing the world of computing with its AI chips, and it can be argued that the company wouldn’t be where it is without its CEO.
Huang started his company back in the 1990’s, too. NVIDIA was on top of the world during that decade, but it came crashing down when chip inventories surged and demand dried up. NVIDIA re-invented itself a few times, and once again, it’s back on top.

Huang is more than a wealth creator. He’s an energetic and humble leader who, at only 61 years old, has plenty of gas left in the tank.
Elon Musk of PayPal, Tesla, Neurolink, SpaceX, The Boring Company etc.
Love him or hate him, Elon Musk is a pioneer – and a money maker.
He co-founded PayPal, took the company public, and made himself and plenty of investors very rich. But he was just getting started.
We all know Musk turned the car industry upside down with Tesla. But did you know he started the company with his own money and nearly went broke? He trusted his instincts, sold the vision to Wall Street, and the rest is history.
Musk’s ideas are genius, and even if one or two fail, he will always find investors to back him (just look at the $6 billion funding he recently secured for xAI!). If you believe in him, it’s nearly guaranteed you’ll make an enormous amount of money.
