Those of you that subscribe to our weekly newsletter, are familiar with the work of Dr. Michael Greger. (If you aren’t receiving our highly praised newsletter, click HERE to sign up and check it out.)
He is an American physician, speaker, and author on public health issues and is best known for incorporating a whole-food, plant-based diet into one’s life.
Two books he wrote that I recommend highly are “How Not to Die” and “How Not to Diet”.
What I think separates Dr. Greger from many others in this space, (Regardless of whether they are an MD or not) is his work is based on actual science.
He is offering a free 10-week email series that expands on his popular Evidence-Based Eating Guide.
Here is a snippet from his guide:
“Adhering to just four simple healthy lifestyle factors can have a strong impact on the prevention of chronic diseases: not smoking, not being obese, getting a half hour of exercise a day, and eating healthier — defined as consuming more fruits, veggies, and whole grains, but less meat. Those four factors alone were found to account for 78% of chronic disease risk.”
