Of course, you should prepare:?

- Outline your thoughts,?

- Know your content,?

- And be ready.?

But there will always be situations where you need to speak spontaneously, without feeling scripted.?

This is the true test of a communicator.

You can prepare for hours on how to give a client presentation, pitch at an industry forum, or handle a negotiation.?

But what happens when, during a parent-teacher meeting, someone asks a question you didn't prepare for??

Or at a social gathering, someone asks you to share a quick story about your profession??

Or in the middle of your speech, an unexpected question arises?

Average speakers:

- Get nervous,?

- Fumble, and?

- Rely on filler words like "you know."?
