Want to join me as I celebrate my 75 +1 birthday next April?

As many of my friends know I am addicted to two things: Toastmasters and travelling. In fact, when I joined my first Toastmasters club 34 years ago, I shared I wanted to travel the world and encourage people as a part of my ice breaker. Well, 80 countries on 6 continents later, doing just that and enjoying it to the max.

And about 12 years ago we discovered cruising and have been doing at least one every year. I know I don’t need an excuse but figured celebrating a birthday this year was a good reason to embark on a new adventure.? So, Irene started her research.

She found, and booked, a great cruise on a new line she’d heard good things about…. MSC Cruises. We are leaving Orlando, Sunday April 13th for 7 days on the Western Caribbean, returning to Orlando on the 20th.

A Toastmaster friend of mine, who also loves cruising, suggested I invite some friends…. So, I am reaching out to see if you’d like to join Irene and myself on ‘Bob’s Birthday Cruise’.

I was pleasantly surprised on costs, for two people… example inside deluxe interior on Deck 11 is only $1803.00 CDN, taxes included…. ($1219.00 USD); $2085 CDN for Oceanview; $2481 for Balcony; $4087 for Suite.? They are having a special Black Friday sale until Nov 25th so these prices would be good until then. Also on the Black Friday Sale, for an additional price you would get a drinks package, wifi and onboard credits, depending on Cabin Category.

Flights from Edmonton will run about $500 return, so this would be an inexpensive trip.

According to the Western Caribbean itinerary we will be in Cozumel on the 18th (my birthday) so would hope to have dinner with whoever comes along.

This is a casual trip, not playing tour guide…smile. Am sure we could meet for a drink once on board, maybe even meet and chat about TMs on one of the sea days; and hopefully have a drink and share dinner on my birthday. Other than that, you’d be free to do whatever you want on the trip. Irene and I take it easy, taking the odd excursion and at times hitting the beach or just walking around to do a bit of shopping.
