Are you hiding from your potential clients (because you're shy)?
What is the first thing a potential client does, when they consider hiring someone for a service??
If you guessed Google, you’re right!
This article is for you if you're a service-based entrepreneur, that's still hiding from really promoting your business online.
Do feel down or get frustrated when your current circle isn't converting to clients? You become focused on the fact they don't share your posts, show up to your events, or buy your current services and tell you “you’re too expensive.”?
If you have an online business, but you're an introvert, you're shy or you have business anxiety, then you're probably shying away from promoting your business online (or in person) and "leaving money on the table."

Your potential clients are online ALL day, every day.
"71% of small-to-midsized businesses use social media to market themselves, and of those who do so, 52% post at least daily."
It's time to become the first thing on your potential client's mind.

Visibility is the road to success in business (what's your road?)
Recently, a client reached out, with the goal of growing their business visibility outside of their current reach (friends, family, and familiars).
This is a common issue for many online business owners, who need more business opportunities, paying clients, and paid speaking gigs.?
The problem is that new entrepreneurs believe that they will just promote to their friends and family, so they only market within their current circle.?
Depending on what you sell, you may gain some traction with your friends, family, coworkers, but that may not take your business to six or seven figures.?
What if your current circle is not your target audience or willing to invest in your services??
Getting visibility for your business can be done online and in person, but you have to be consistent over a period of time, to gain the "know, like, and trust factor" with people that are your target audience and ready to invest today.
After working with this client, we reviewed their target audience and pricing. They realized they weren't really promoting to any target audience, so we brainstormed. We both were surprised, they had been promoting something they didn't believe in selling.
They are now clear on what they are selling, promoting, and whom they were promoting to, and have a plan to become visible, that fits with their lifestyle. This improved their confidence and will lead to being more visible outside of their current circle. It's important not to pressure yourself to copy another entrepreneur's visibility plan if it's not aligned with your lifestyle.
I help clients work around their personal life challenges while growing their businesses on their terms.
So if you were terrified that you have to dance on TikTok or do live streams every day, you can now breathe a sigh of relief, this isn't the only way. You may have kids, family obligations, a 9-5, difficult living environment, chronic health conditions, or mental health challenges, that make it hard to do what someone else is doing to grow their business. There's more than one road to success, we work together to find yours.
So, Why are you hiding from telling people about your business?
Sometimes the reason you are hiding from promoting your business and not being visible is that you don’t have clarity about your ideal market (outside of your friends and family). You may also not know what to sell, how much to charge or how to package it.?It looks so easy when others do it, but it's hard for you.
Or you're afraid of judgment by your peers and the scary internet trolls.
Maybe you’ve said to yourself “no one will pay” this much for this service. That’s when it’s time to check yourself.?
Do you lack a great service, do you lack the right prices or do you just lack self-confidence?
I can attest to an extreme lack of confidence; at one point it used to sabotage my business.?
Although I’ve done tremendous work in therapy and coaching on my self-confidence, I don’t know if there will ever be a time when I don’t have to work on the emotions that come up, when I am on stage with influencers, celebrities, well-advanced entrepreneurs and millionaires.?

All great entrepreneurs have coaches and mentors. Working on my mindset and emotions is a daily ritual, that builds my confidence. Even though I am not where they are yet, I have value, and worth, and belong there too.?
How do you overcome your fear of visibility in your business?
Most likely you’re in your first few years of business, so you need a visibility plan to get noticed on social media and found on Google search results, your name, your business, your niche.?
Don’t be afraid to let people know that you’re a start-up, that you don't know everything about running a business, that you are still developing your expertise.?
Stop competing with brands that have millions. Your yesterday is your only competition today.?Show up as yourself.
Stop sabotaging your own business. Stop trying to avoid paying for someone to teach you or do it for you.?
There are many experts that can help you with branding and marketing, once you overcome your fear of being visible.
Start investing in business mindset coaches (or even therapists) that can help you build your self-confidence, to become more visible.?
You’re going to have to work through all the mental limits and emotional baggage that stop you.?Show up online, as yourself, consistently with your solution and your services.
Build your belief system, that your ideal people are searching for you right now on Google. They can only find you if you’re there.?
When I ask new clients, how they found me, many of them say “I found you on Google”.
The others say social media posts, articles like this one, and then personal referrals.
