Want to be happy?
Are you upset, sad, unhappy, miserable, grumpy etc all the time?
Do Volunteer and do charity work.
Give back. Over and over. And you will slowly but surely become a happier version of yourself.
One hour a month.
You do not have to commit to being a board member, take over an organization, do it every single week for the rest of your life, travel far, spend money, sacrifice your own down time to give back etc.
Find your niche.. your tempo.. A little. A lot. Intermittently.
With a charity or organization you choose to align with.
In a role you want and doing the things you want.
Being involved in something bigger than yourself.
You get over your own stuff pretty quick when you see that this world has many people and situations that are less fortunate than you through no fault of their own.
At times, a lot of times, what we are dealing with, could be worse.
Seeing that individual or situation live and in-person quickly has us not sit in, dwell upon or stir about our own stuff. We get over ourselves, which a lot of people need to do!!!
Also, social connection is vital for longevity and happiness. Being connected to others feeds our soul !
So yes, if you are not feeling good, not walking this earth with a pep in your step or wanting to seek out happiness... VOLUNTEER AND DO CHARITY WORK.
