Want to get your finances in order?

It took me many years after?some less-than-convincing attempts in my youth to start investing again.?

And once I did, it didn’t take long until I got really into it (chances are you would too if you really went for it!).?

For several years, I invested in?all sorts of?shares, ETFs,?and even strange things called Closed-End?Funds.

Before I knew it,?my portfolio?had nearly 100 positions, and it?was?a real mess.?

I was spending hours?and hours?looking at every position?in my trading account,?trying to understand what was happening.?

• Hours I didn’t?have.?
• Hours I should have spent sleeping and resting.?
• Hours I should have used in?countless?better ways.?

But here’s the most important part:

At some point,?I grew tired?of relying on?my gut feeling.?

I wanted to have a?real investment strategy.

I just knew I needed to make an investment plan, do some?cleanup,?and implement?a streamlined strategy?for the long haul.

It went even further than that: I wanted to?stop being an irresponsible little girl about?how I handled my finances.

I wanted to?become a woman?who’s?in charge with a plan.

And that’s why the following quote from?Leonard Bernstein?sounds like pure gold to me:

"To achieve great things, two things are needed; a plan and not quite enough time."

Because eventually, I did come up with a plan. And this changed everything.

(…and the ‘not quite enough time part’ is the best part!)?
