Want Faster Results? Adopt this New Belief - and Trash the Old One

Welcome 500 subscribers! I just launched this newsletter and am so glad you're here.

This week I want to introduce you to a new belief - a new perspective - that I coach my clients on to generate big results and progress towards their goals, with less pushing, less manual effort.

Why does this matter? There's a rampant belief that many entrepreneurs live by that keeps them locked overworking without getting better results, or

keeps them overworking and getting results, but experience constant fear and anxiety that if they let off the gas, their results will fade.

If you want a huge shift in awareness in the next 3 minutes -- Read on.

The Belief of More: Trash It

I was listening to an Abraham Hicks podcast and she said, "most people believe effort and action and focus drives results".

If I just did more [more output, hours, projects, outreach], I'd have more.

On a scale of 1-10, how much do you belief that effort, action, and focus alone drives the results you get in your business?

Now let's question it for a moment:

If this belief were true, then the starkingly true economics behind the Pareto Principle would then be false.

The Pareto Principle is widely known as the 80/20 rule; meaning that 80% of the consequences or outcomes come from 20% of the causes*.

For example:

  • 80% of our business results come from 20% of our actions,
  • 80% of purchases come from 20% of clients,
  • 80% of company sales are done by 20% of its employees.

So if it's true that only 20% of our actions create 80% of our business results, not MORE action, as debunked by the Pareto Principle, then what does?

The Belief to Get High: Adopt It

This new belief to replace the old one is something I actively coach people towards.

"I believe that my intention paired with my vibration or emotional state drives my results".

  1. Your intention, paired with
  2. Your vibration or emotional state drives results.

Successful people and top performers have extremely clear intentions. They know what they want and they fiercely stay focused on what they want.

They do not focus on what they don't want [which would manifest the opposite of their intention] - and have many practices to get themselves back if they get off track.

For you: what is your intention right now?

Is it to increase sales by 20% this quarter? Is it to build a high-performing team? Is it to spend more time with your kids?

Which leads to the second point: your vibration or emotional state.

The winners and real top-performers are in a state of high vibration, high consciousness, and high emotion. They literally attract people and outcomes to them, don't they?

Someone in a state of calm or delight or excitement or curiosity is lightyears more effective than someone is worry or anxiety or fear or doubt.

They're high, as Ram Dass calls it in his book Be Here Now. 'High' meaning conscious, or awake.

Your goal is to be high. [no pun intended as this was written the day after 420?].

Conclusion

Effort, action, and focus is necessary, but it's more of the outer shell of an egg. The container.

What's inside the egg, the substance, is the power of your intention paired with the vibration or emotional state you're in. The essence.

I'm not saying high-performers don't have fear or doubt or anxiety, many of them do. They just don't focus on it. They focus on their intention. And they focus on how to be in the most high vibrational and awake state possible when they're taking action.

Notes

* In this interview I heard recently with Jordan Peterson and Glenn Lourly, they discuss that the Pareto Principle is actually be closer to 80%/1% rule. That a company 10,000 people, about 100 employees are creating 80% of the output or results. Could that be why Twitter fired 75% of its workforce? What 1% of your actions seem to be delivering 80% of your results? Dive into it.

Results in business are driven by our personal performance. And our beliefs drive our actions. Even top performers have outdated beliefs that keep them from reaching their next milestone. Trust me if you adopted the new belief in this article, you will be on fire ??
