Want It. Can It. Do It.

Success doesn’t happen by chance—it’s built, step by step, on the foundations of desire, belief, and stamina. We’ve all seen those people who seem to hit every milestone as if they were born for it. But they weren’t. What they have is the conviction that if you want something badly enough, if you can see it happening, and if you do the work, you’ll get there. It’s not a mystery, but a formula anyone can follow.

Want It: Fuel Your Drive

Think back to your most significant accomplishments. Whether it’s landing that dream job, closing a major deal, or hitting a personal milestone like running a marathon—it all started with wanting it badly enough. That is the fuel for everything.

In the business world, deals have a way of testing your desire. Imagine you’ve been working on a strategic partnership for months—endless meetings, negotiations that seem to go nowhere, constant tweaks to the contract. You hit roadblocks and start to wonder if it’s worth it. But if you want that deal to happen enough, you keep pushing. And trust me, I’ve seen deals that everyone thought were dead suddenly come to life, simply because someone refused to give up. If you want something enough, nothing—no amount of rejection or setbacks—will stop you. That’s the difference between those who talk about their goals and those who live them.

Can It: Believe in Your Potential

Desire gets you moving, but belief is what keeps you going. Believing you can succeed is the tipping point that separates those who reach the top from those who fall short.

I remember working on a complex insurance deal. Everyone said it was too intricate and risky. The market wasn’t there yet, and most traditional players were backing out. But we believed in its potential. We could see where the market was going, even if it wasn’t obvious to others at the time. Fast forward, and the deal became a success because we believed when others didn’t. Belief doesn’t just keep you focused; it changes the way you approach problems. You start thinking bigger, taking calculated risks, and innovating because you know there’s a way forward, even if you haven’t figured out every detail yet.

Do It: Stamina Wins in the Long Run

Then comes the hardest part—doing the work and sticking with it. Stamina is the true key to success, whether you’re running a company or running a marathon.

In business, stamina is what pushes you to keep refining a product when it’s not quite there, to make another hundred sales calls when you’ve been told “no” ninety-nine times, or to keep expanding globally even after a series of costly failures. I’ve worked on product launches that seemed cursed. The technology wasn’t ready, and the market timing was off. It was draining. But stamina isn’t just about physical endurance—it’s about keeping your mental and emotional focus sharp over the long run. We kept testing, tweaking, and improving, and eventually, that product became one of our top performers. It wasn’t magic—it was stamina. Showing up, day after day, when others were ready to quit.

Final Thought

Success doesn’t happen overnight, but it happens for those who refuse to quit. You have the power to make it happen. The only thing standing between you and your dream is how badly you want it, how deeply you believe in it, and whether you have the stamina to follow through. Want it. Can it. Do it. It’s the mantra for success. Whether in life or business, these three steps will take you further than you ever thought possible. Dare to dream! No challenge is too big, no goal too far!
