If I were to list all the reasons I loved hosting Mojo Mondays Bootcamp, the energizing conversations I had with my guests would be at the top. Our dialogue was always fabulous because we talked about things that truly mattered to us: our values, hopes, dreams, and wisdom earned.?
These heart-to-heart, or head-to-head, (sometimes a mix of both) discussions were also in stark contrast to the other many conversations I would have that were purely perfunctory and transactional - how will the weather impact plans, who is picking up the kids from after school or did you have a good weekend.
Transactional conversations provide updates (at best) but they are not great for building connections or for fostering inspiration.
It’s hard to break out of our small talk patterns and ask deep, probing questions but I promise you it's worth it. You will learn something not only about the person you are speaking with but also yourself.
Here are a few thought starters for you to drop into your next conversation:

1 年Laura Schwarz , I think about our discussion so very often. Definitely makes me happy when the negative self-talk starts. I have actually accomplished a lot!
