How can your ad copy increase revenue?!
Here are 5 ways I’ve used -
? Use the word “you”
People are selfish and always pay attention to things about them
Switch from:
“The longest lasting lipstick on the market”
To
“Your lips don’t have to feel dry after 30 minutes on the road”
Could up your conversion rate!
? Dangle your carrot
Every brand / product has a carrot and it is a marketer’s favourite tool
If you are selling fitness classes,
your carrot might be “lose 10 pounds”
If you’re a SaaS company,
it might be “Save 2 hours of your workforce’s time EVERYDAY”
? Us vs Them
Declaring an enemy is one the most effective tricks. Modern politicians often use this to win elections
This technique unites people in a common enemy which is stronger than uniting people in a common interest
So why wouldn’t you use it in your copy?
Switch from:
“The longest lasting lipstick on the market”
To
“Your defence against dry, dull lips”
Who likes dry lips anyway!
There’s your enemy.
? No, then yes
Contrasting things is a great way to make something seem extra awesome
Say you are a Knee replacement company post and you can’t deliver insanely amazing results to your customers anymore due to government regulations
And you are in the same boat as every other company but you still need to stand out.
“Don’t wait 4 months to get back on your feet.

Do it it 2 months”
? Join or invite
Humans are social creatures. They love being a part of the tribe.
Invite them to join others.
“Join thousands of people getting white teeth with Sid’s teeth whitening kit"
"Join us in solving climate change with our recyclable bags"
Remind them that buying from you connects them with others.
These were my five.
There may be more, but these five always work :)
