There are 9 Requirements for an All-Star LinkedIn Profile:
1 - Profile Picture
Your profile picture should be a professional headshot of only you that is warm and inviting. This is the first thing that others will see, and a good profile picture will help in others knowing, liking and trusting you faster.
If you would like to feature what you do or highlight the benefits of your company, product, or service then include those items in your cover photo. For example, if you are in the travel industry you could include a beautiful scene from one of your resort locations.
2 - Headline That Speaks To One Audience
If you are multi-faceted and offer products and services across different industries or platforms, then choose one of them and craft your headline for that specific category. The more targeted your headline is that addresses the solutions for a particular audience then the more business you are going to attract.
For example, if you are a fitness coach who also has a side hustle with cryptocurrency then only feature one of those industries in your headline. Those two industries are not inherently related. If you are trying to market EVERYTHING then you are going to attract NO ONE.
3 - Complete Your About Section
This section is an extension of your headline where you are able to provide a little more detail on why someone should connect with you. As you think about your ideal customer answer these 3 questions:

The content in this section should highlight the answers to these questions. It is ok to highlight your accomplishments. Just be sure to explain to your audience how your experience will help you to provide a unique solution for them.
4 - Show Your Experience
As someone looks over your experience it should paint a picture of your growth - who you were in the past versus who you are today. We all did not start out at the top, so it's ok to list your college intern position especially if you're still in that industry.
At a minimum include what you are currently doing (even if you are in transition) and at least two prior positions. In each role indicate not only what you did, but also highlight the impact and how it benefitted your company.
5 - Add Your Education
When you discover a fellow alumni or even someone that went to the same type of school or a school in the same area aren't you naturally attracted to them? That's why filling out your Education is import, and it will help you to achieve LinkedIn All-Star status.
It is not essential to put your graduation dates, but just listing the fact that you attended that institution will prompt your fellow school attendees to connect with you!
