So, it's here, 2019 that is.

And what have you planned to ensure your success for this new year?

If you’re like most you have relied on a budgetary process to provide the revenue targets for you and your teams and are now working feverishly to convert this into the activities required.

Or worse, maybe you've simply taken the total revenue targets and broken it out among your team based on last years results assuming the same average performance levels with required growth?

Either way, this is a, "Hail Mary", approach which will provide the expected results. Sometimes you get lucky, but mostly the results will be poor.

*What does it's a Hail Mary mean?

“To throw a Hail Mary” Here's one of those phrases for you. Used not only in its original field. A Hail Mary pass or Hail Mary route in American football refers to any very long forward pass made in desperation with only a small chance of success.

Your organization, and your team need to plan out all activities in the upcoming year down to the individual level to ensure two key priorities beyond the obvious.

1) Measurement of results

2) Ability to adjust and improve month over month & quarter over quarter, throughout the year.

We use a very simple methodology to begin this process, namely a "Social Sales Activity Planner" which is done for every member of our client’s teams including Marketing, customer service and Inside sales.
