We are back and today there are some amazing things on the list!? But of particular importance, because its not just yummy, its a HUGE time saver in my house, is [drum roll for fun effect if you please]....
1. PROTEIN PANCAKES
But these aren't just ANY protein pancakes.? They are:
- fluffy and moist
- super tasty
- no added sugar
- High protein
I use this as a base recipe and tweak it because I use Kodiak Pancakes Mix. ?
I make these before Church almost every Sunday, triple the recipe, cook on my double burner cast iron griddle (like THIS ONE), and usually have enough for the hungry boys 3-4 additional mornings of the week.?
It saves me a ton of time during the week to just reheat add a banana on the side, BOOM.?
??Reduces decision fatigue because I have something ready to go
?? Reduces arguments over who is going to eat breakfast, and what its going to be
?? Saves 30 minutes prepping breakfast before our early school start.

2. The Mom I want to be v. The Mom I am
We all struggle with wanting to be more or different, and can put us on the wrong foot mentally.? I came across this amazing devotional that REALLY hit it for me.? Listen in, read the versus and use the prayer.? Its a good one to write down.

3. Back to School
Back to school is approaching fast, at least here in Houston, are you ready?
In some ways, I am excited and ready to return to a normal schedule.? In other ways, I am sad.? Take some time to reflect on this, take in these last wonderful days, and if you are looking for a new backpack for your kiddo(s)....
We always see HIgh Sierra brand at our local Marshalls/TJ Maxx.? Definitely take a look because they are really sturdy (and cheap!).? Our other favorites are LL Bean, and while they usually have a sale, it doesn't appear they are on sale now.
4. Monday Morning Exercise to Jumpstart Your Week
Spend 10 minutes before 10 am writing out your 1-3 MUST DO tasks for the week, then the rest of your HOPE/WANT to do.? Focus on getting the MUST DO's done first.? "Discipline equals freedom" is a motto we use in our house frequently, and to us that means when you have the discipline to do what you HAVE TO DO, you have more time to do what you WANT TO DO.??
But a word of caution, because this is something I am SO bad about....don't create a 12 item MUST DO LIST, because usually we don't have 12 things that are high priority for the week, then we get worked up about our long list.? Make shorter, manageable lists, or make one for the week that you break up into days.??
