The early reviews for Michael
Historian Lounge Guest for September
For September, we have a newcomer for the season, Cam Telch . He is pursuing his PhD in Educational Studies at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax. His research focuses on the underrepresentation of First World War shell shock in Canadian military museums within the framework of complex knowledge. He has acquired three degrees from York University in both History and Education. He has been studying the Canadian and British experiences of shell shock for the last five years, writing, speaking, and publishing on the topic. His research has uncovered that the stories of Canadian shell-shocked soldiers have been historically silenced due to the stigma surrounding mental health. His research seeks to bring their voices to the forefront in history education. His debut will be on the 25.

After much rescheduling, Paul Walsh is returning to the show. Paul Vincent Walsh originated from Ireland and grew up outside of Philadelphia. Pursuing a lifelong fascination with military history, he earned a Master’s in military and diplomatic history in 1994. Having been an instructor for nine years at Delaware County Community College, Mr. Walsh now teaches courses for adult education programs. With an interest in such diverse topics as warfare during the Middle Ages, the military history of Ireland, armed conflict in Latin America, and mechanized warfare, he has had over one hundred of his articles and book reviews published in commercial magazines and academic journals. Mr. Walsh currently lives with his wife and three cats. His return will be on the 11th.
My next historian is Jason P. . He is an Air Force historian and served in the Army. With years of experience, Jason has conducted historical interviews, research, and data collection for the US Army. To learn more about Jason, he will make his debut on the 23rd.
Author Showcase
Leading my author lineup is Kristen Hamilton . She is a fiction book editor specializing in developmental editing, line editing, and copyediting services for self-publishing and traditionally publishing authors. She has edited over 500 books, several of which have won awards and topped Amazon's best sellers lists. With astounding qualifications, an impressive portfolio, and a flawless mastery of the complexities of the English language, Kristen has become a reputable manuscript editor for first-time and veteran authors. Her passion for words started in childhood.
She sought books before she could even walk, and she knew from her first memories that she wanted to pursue writing and editing as a career. She's been professionally involved in the writing/editing industry since 2003, but her experience and passion for books stretch years beyond that. Today, she has been able to establish myself as a trustworthy, communicative professional who works independently on your manuscript, providing individualized service to correct your book's errors and highlight its strengths. She is the founder, owner, and sole employee of Kristen Corrects, Inc.—and worked hard for her success: late nights, early mornings, and overtime. But it's all been worth it. Working independently allows her to interact with her clients and provide personalized service. She believes there is nothing better than communication and friendliness in a business world slowly becoming less focused on people. Being a freelancer means participating in hundreds of projects—from editing books to writing web content to teaching immigrants English. She is passionate about what she does and is in a constant state of learning. And that's the best job there is. When 5:00 rolls around every weekday, She is likely spending time with her three cats, daydreaming about travel, and debating if her husband should order pizza for dinner. Her debut is tomorrow.
Amilea Perez will also be making their debut tomorrow. Amilea Perez currently resides in Utah, where she is a full-time student. When she is not studying or in the chemistry lab, she enjoys spending time with her family, binge-watching TV shows, watching movies, and, most of all, working on her debut novel, The Tournament of Heirs. As someone highly involved with the STEM field, Amilea never imagined herself as a writer or creative. However, once the idea for “The Tournament of Heirs” was in her mind, she could not let it go.
Another author making their debut this week is J.R. DiDomencio. J. R. is a new author in the publishing realm who writes Epic High Fantasy. She discovered the allure of the written word when she was twelve, at which she began penning her first manuscript. Along her writing journey, she learned of NaNoWriMo and has since been a yearly participant. When not writing, she can be found hiking the mountains in New Hampshire, where she lives with her husband, going to car shows and races with her father, spending time with her family, or chasing after the almost weekly home projects. She has one published novel, The Sixth Raven, the first in the new book series, The Age of Ravens. Her debut will be on the 4th.

I am very excited to introduce my next author on the channel. I have been begging to have her on the show, and now she is finally here: author Daze Evander. She is a 26-year-old storyteller from California who writes a fictional and character-focused series for adults about otherworldly survival and discovery. Daze has been writing her entire life, and her favorite thing to create is dialogue. She loves focusing on the characters as much as possible and how they’re unique (personalities, hopes, doubts, insecurities, dreams, mannerisms, habits, flaws, etc.). She also finds it fascinating to write about how many things, events, words, and more are connected like puzzle parts. Short fictional stories and poems that focused primarily on emotions and relationships were mainly what I wrote before my debut in 2020 (based on a 2015 dream). She completed and released her first book a few months after finishing college. Each year since then, she has expanded on the universe with a new title with its character standout and overall theme. Being within the realm of fiction is her favorite thing to do, and it’s where she can spend an eternity—the excitement of telling a story - feeling so alive from the adrenaline rush and exploring these dreams. She primarily works, writes, games, or listens to music. Her debut will be on the 16th.
Safa JB is also making their official debut on the show. Also known by her pen name, J B Spring, she is the founder of Aour Legacy, an IT and Communication Consulting company, and the author of the Aour Legacy Book Series. Soon after founding Aour Legacy Consulting, Safa and her business partners realized the potential that each person they met possessed. Each person needed to find the key to unlock that potential, their magic. This message of unlimited individual potential became their passion and driving force. Out of that passion, the Aour Legacy series of books was born. As lifelong lovers of reading and watching fantasy stories, combining these two passions into a series of books was natural. The Aour world is much like our own, primarily mundane. But a select few magi find the magic that resides within everyone as long as they can believe in themselves and the power of their minds. Her debut is on the 17th.
Early Reviews for Michael.
With the release date just one day away, I wanted to share all the early reviews for Michael. To my surprise, they have all been overwhelmingly positive. Thank you to all my ARC readers for their support and honest feedback.
The Love of History, aka TK, says, "I was a little hesitant to get started on this book, but after I read the first few pages, I couldn't put it down, much to the distress of my laundry and dishes. ?? I love how relatable the characters are and how the author develops their personalities throughout the series. Their reactions to situations feel as genuine as fantasy can get ?? unfortunately, I don't have magic to solve my problems.
This book also perfectly blends fantasy, mythology, and history. It's not too fact-heavy, and you don't need deep historical knowledge to enjoy it!
Overall, I highly recommend it!!!!
Katie Art calls Michael an excellent read. "In Michael-Last Angel of Earth, Gabriel Garcia delivers a captivating blend of fantasy and history centered on a surprisingly relatable Archangel Michael. Initially, I was skeptical due to my limited interest in religious themes, but this novel exceeded my expectations. Michael’s down-to-earth portrayal adds depth to his celestial role. I loved this character! The author excels in integrating mythologies and historical elements, enriching the plot with captivating twists and turns. The characters are well-developed, and their interactions keep the story engaging and dynamic. Overall, Michael-Last Angel of Earth is a fascinating read that combines imaginative storytelling with historical and fantasy influences, making it incredibly enjoyable.
Amr Saleh calls it an outstanding fantasy epic! "Michael: The Last Angel of Earth is a beautiful fantasy epic that uniquely and imaginatively combines modern-day religion with ancient mythologies. If you are looking for a thrilling story filled with gods, angels, adventure, and action, Gabriel Garcia’s epic is exactly the story for you.
Finally, Lowri Ball, my editor, had this to say about Michael: "Having read Gabriel’s work previously on Inkitt when it was still in the editing processes, this is a massive step up from where it began. It is filled with action and adventure, lore, mythology, gods, angels and demons, and many different creatures for any fantasy enthusiast. He combines the religious aspect of the characters with the plot so well, giving them purpose and directions that are personal to them alone, seeing many from different walks of life cross paths. I would recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy; it’s a book that keeps you guessing and wanting more. He’s done a fantastic job bringing the characters to life, and I look forward to seeing his following works.
