???? Discovery in Mumbai
The Think Learning Studio recently completed our first "Discovery India" program, helping fifty Mumbai-based teachers take positive planning and design steps on their project-based learning journey.
Supported by Education World, the THINK Learning Studio was invited to guide this educational pedagogy to the forefront of teacher professional development across the region.
With a particular focus on project-based learning mindsets, processes, and tools, the August THINK Learning Studio “Discovery” immersive workshop experience offered a game-changing experience for educators seeking to position young people to adapt to a shifting future successfully. Throughout the 5-day immersive experience, participants actively engaged in human-centred design thinking activities by “being the student” in prototyping multidisciplinary and collaborative products.
Participants came from a range of highly reputed educational institutions, clearly demonstrating that educators across the region are ready to embrace change in curriculum design, implementation and assessment. Collaborative problem solving and group presentations showed that participating educators are already returning to their home schools as ‘Eduleaders’ and ‘Innovators’. As appropriate, each attendee committed to positioning themselves ready for the K-12 curriculum evolution that aligns with global shifts in business, technology, and other critical industries.??

???? THINK Learning Studio Keynotes at GESS Jakarta
Chief Product Officer Chung Man Chan delivered multiple talks at GESS Jakarta around the future of skills and schooling.
Her talk on the future of learning helped educators prepare students for life after high school. She asked participants, "Do students have the hard skills, do they have the soft skills, do students have the life skills, and most importantly, do they know to apply them in real-life scenarios?"
While most schools excel at preparing students for final exams, not all schools provide fundamental training for students to enter the new age workforce or life. Chung Man investigated the future skillsets and practical strategies teachers can implement in the classroom. Her talk uncovered lessons from the world's first traveling high school on their unique experiences to prepare our students to transition into the real world.
Her second visionary session invited participants to explore how we might transform the professional education and training of teachers & educators to empower young people to be 'changemakers' via authentic project-based and place-based educational challenges.?
As the Chief Product Officer of THINK Learning Studio,?a professional development and innovation centre for education leaders, Chung Man lead discussions on how to strategically reimagine the preparation of teachers to be designers, guides and evaluators of student-led, real-world learning programs.?Participants were presented with ideas rooted in a schooling model that champions student agency, choice, and voice, exploring strategies for reimagining university-based teacher education to catalyze project and place-based education in local, national and global contexts.
