Amazon Posts FINALLY Go Paid
The day has arrived! We’ve long crossed our fingers and wished upon a star for a paid promotion feature inside of Amazon Posts, but Amazon gave us something even better. Now, we can take top-performing posts and turn them into Sponsored Brand campaigns directly from inside the Posts management area in the Ad Console. Posts remain free of charge, so this isn’t a way to buy yourself into more exposure with Posts, but rather convert winning posts into effective ads. Think of it like a type of A/B test that allows you to find the best ad creative.
It coincides nicely with another Amazon announcement which is the addition of vertical video creative in Sponsored Brands. Guess what features lots of vertical video content pulled from other major social media platforms? Amazon Posts, of course. This is all the more reason to test all video and creative formats in Posts to see what sticks, and then turn the winners into ad campaigns.
This has only appeared in the last few weeks, so keep an eye out for it as it shows up in US accounts.

Amazon Trending Tidbits???
Ecommerce Needs Walmart
In the U.S. ecommerce space, Walmart is the main competitor to Amazon. While Amazon dominates with a 40% share of the market, Walmart is catching up fast, especially in e-commerce. Walmart's strategic focus on online grocery and a renewed commitment to ecommerce since 2016 has helped it grow rapidly, surpassing $100 billion in global ecommerce sales in 2023, mostly in the US. It is finally in the same order of magnitude of growth as Amazon, which has $700 Billion in sales in 2023. Walmart is still much smaller but has figured out fulfillment, marketplace, and advertising.
But why should this matter to Amazon sellers and the broader market? Because it encourages diversity and choice. A stronger Walmart not only offers sellers an alternative platform but also encourages innovation and better practices across the board. This shift hints at a potentially healthier market environment where competition leads to better options for consumers and sellers alike. So what does the future of ecommerce look like? Amazon Consumer Electronics shortened the Returns window
Starting March 25, Amazon will be tweaking its return policy – the window for returns on electronics will be shifting from 30 days down to - 14 days after delivery. This change will span across categories like Cameras, Electronics, and Office Products. The only exception to this will be Amazon Devices and Amazon Renewed products.?
So here's the deal: for a seamless transition, Amazon's giving a grace period until April 25. During this time, customers can still bask in the 30-day return window. Post-April 24? It’s a strict 14-day policy. For all the sellers out there, this means it's time to align your return policies accordingly. If you're feeling generous and want to offer an extended return period, just update your policies in Seller Central. Curious about the details and how this could play out for your shop?
