Exciting news from Wallys Communication! ?? We are thrilled to introduce our latest hardware platform, the DR5018S – a cutting-edge 802.11ax 2.4G, 5G, and 6G 3-band PCBA. Here's a closer look at this powerful new addition to our lineup:
?? Hardware Specs:
The DR5018S is powered by Qualcomm's IPQ5018 Dual-core ARM 64-bit A53 @ 1.0GHz Processor, delivering high-performance efficiency.
It features an integrated QCN6102 for 5G radio, QCN6122 for 6G radio, and includes a u-blox NEO-M8M-0-10 GPS module.
With 512MB DDRL3L system memory, 8MB NOR flash, and 256MB NAND flash, it also supports BT5.1 (optional).
Connectivity is robust with one 1G and one 2.5G Ethernet port, both POE-enabled.
?? Compact Design:
Sized at just 12 x 10.5 cm, the DR5018S offers incredible performance in a compact form factor, making it ideal for a wide range of deployments.
?? Software Flexibility:
Supporting QSDK, OpenWrt, and OpenWifi, the DR5018S is designed to meet diverse software needs.
We also provide custom software development tailored to your project requirements, offering features like Easy Mesh, GPS Sync, Captive Portal, and more.
?? Versatile Frequency Solutions:
Our standard version includes a 2x2 2.4G, 2x2 5G, and 2x2 6G tri-band configuration, but we offer several variants to suit different application scenarios and cost optimization goals:

Single 5G radio with 1G Ethernet:
Ideal for low-hardware requirement applications.
Dual 5G radio:
Perfect for dual-band roaming scenarios.
2.4G + 5G or 2.4G + 6G:
Well-suited for PTP and PTMP outdoor applications.
Using the IPQ5018 motherboard, which integrates 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequency bands and allows for DIY customization, offers several benefits:
1. Flexibility in Application: Users can tailor the motherboard to specific use cases by selecting the frequency bands that best suit their needs. For example, 2.4 GHz might be preferred for long-range, lower-speed applications, while 5 GHz and 6 GHz are ideal for high-speed, lower-latency connections.
2. Cost-Effectiveness: By only including the necessary frequency bands, users can reduce costs associated with unused hardware, making the solution more economical.
3. Optimized Performance: Customizing the frequency bands allows for optimized performance in various environments. Users can minimize interference and maximize throughput by choosing the most suitable frequency band for their specific situation.
4. Future-Proofing: With support for the 6 GHz band, the IPQ5018 motherboard is prepared for future Wi-Fi 6E/7 standards, providing an upgrade path for users as new technologies emerge.
5. Simplified Inventory Management: A single motherboard design that can be customized for different frequency bands reduces the need for multiple product variants, simplifying inventory management and reducing production complexity.
