The Wall That Heals Travels to Johns Creek

The City of Johns Creek was honored to host "The Wall That Heals" this past weekend as its first stop in Georgia.  Throughout the weekend, Vietnam veterans in our area, along with the friends, family, and loved ones who lost one of the 58,000 Vietnam Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, and Marines immortalized on the Wall, came together to remember the sacrifice of our Vietnam heroes. Through a moving opening ceremony featuring Command Sergeant Major Bennie Adkins, to the rightful recognition of Vietnam Veterans by way of Certificates of Honor, to the last tear that fell remembering those we loved and fought with, the three day event was unquestionably one of the most memorable on record and one we not soon forget.
