The Wall of BTS' Awards: A Look at Upcoming Nominations + The Groups Most Recent Award Show Wins in The U.S. and Asia

After arriving in Los Angeles, California, BTS, alongside ARMYs, had their share of AMAZING experiences and memories to end off their 2021 activities! From their massively successful 4-day concerts at SoFi Stadium for their PERMISSION TO DANCE : ON STAGE in LA to their Jingle Ball performance at The Forum, BTS and ARMYs emotionally met in-person, after nearly two years! With pictures of packed stadiums each night, ARMYs all over the world were hoping to see an announcement about BTS going on a world tour; However, there has been no official announcement on a world tour, but there is official confirmation on a new album that will debut next year.

BTS also recently released "Butter (Holiday Remix)", Jin's "‘?? ??’ ('SUPER TUNA') Special Performance Video" for his birthday, and the members even opened their own individual Instagram accounts! (Yes, I was shocked at seeing the verified Instagram accounts too!) With BIGHIT MUSIC announcing BTS' second official extended period of rest, this is definitely the BEST time to catch up on BTS content before they come back with their new album and perform for their in-person concerts in Seoul, South Korea in March 2022!

Will BTS'Awards Be Added to HYBE Museum's Trophy Wall?

As BTS dominated their nights at SoFi Stadium, let's not forget BTS' success on American and Asian award shows from within the past couple of weeks! BTS has SLAYED at award shows by winning most, if not all, of their nominated awards; Most recently, the group swept awards at this years, People's Choice Awards. Since BTS are on vacation and the group still has award show nominations coming up, let's take a look at BTS' most recent award show wins and their upcoming nominations for U.S. and Asia-based award shows! Plus, all of the trophies that BTS recently won and will hopefully win in upcoming awards shows, will hopefully be added to HYBE Museum's Trophy Wall!

How can we forget about BTS at the 2021 American Music Awards? We won't and we can't! On November 21, 2021, BTS took home awards for all three of their nominations including, Artist of The Year, Favorite Pop Duo or Group, and Favorite Pop Song for "Butter". From their collaboration performance with Coldplay for "My Universe" to being the final performance of the night with their mega smash hit, "Butter", nothing will beat the moments of the members award speeches and their time on the red carpet! Even though, these special moments took place a while ago, lets all continue to congratulate BTS on a historical award show night!

On November 25, 2021, Tokopedia put on it's first ever WIB Indonesia K-pop Awards Show! Along with BTS' awesome performance for "Permission to Dance", BTS took home two awards including, Ter-INSPIRING (Most Inspiring Award) and Selalu Ada, Selalu Bisa Award (Always There, Always Available Award). With this special memory, this was the time to give a HUGE shoutout to Indonesian ARMYs, who have supported BTS all these years! It's amazing to see how BTS' music and how K-pop music have positively impacted people all over the world; And it's worth mentioning that K-pop music is finally making its way into international markets on a grander scale.

On December 02, 2021, as the members finished their third day for their PERMISSION TO DANCE : ON STAGE in LA concert, BTS won two awards at the 2021 Asia Artist Awards! Even though, the group did not attend the Asia Artist Awards, the members made a special video announcing their win for this years, Song of The Year - "Butter". And thanks to ARMYs votes, BTS also took home the U+ Idol Live Popularity Award (Singer)! This may have been an even more special moment for the members, as they were with ARMYs in-person, before they received this award! So, congratulations too both BTS and ARMYs? Yes, CONGRATULATIONS!!

On December 04, 2021, BTS brought home five awards, out of their seven nominations! BTS won awards for Best Male Group, Netizen Popularity Award, Song of The Year - "Butter", Top 10 Bonsang / Artist of The Year, and Legendary Performance - "IDOL" (2018). The only nominations that the group did not win an award for was Artist of The Year and Album of The Year - which was given to IU and her dazzling album, Lilac.

While BTS didn't sweep wins at this years Melon Music Awards, BTS had finished their last concert for their PERMISSION TO DANCE : ON STAGE in LA! AND this was all after sweeping major awards at the American Music Awards! Yes, it would have been amazing to see BTS sweep their nominations with award wins on this show, but seeing ARMYs in-person and performing in front of them are a MAJOR win in of itself. So even though, BTS did not take home the Daesang Award for Album of The Year, BTS created memorable moments with ARMYs and won major awards on an American awards show; Which further demonstrates BTS' ever-growing influence and music, as they move forward with their music careers.

And the groups most recent award show wins were at this years, People's Choice Awards! ARMYs were hoping to see the BTS members at this years People's Choice Awards, but the group is currently relaxing, traveling, and spending time with their family and friends. Even though, ARMYs could not see BTS in their usual dapper outfits at an award show, BTS did not have to dress up and walk down the red carpet to showcase their award show wins!

On December 07, 2021, BTS won awards at the People's Choice Awards for The Group of 2021, The Song of 2021 - "Butter", and The Music Video of 2021 - "Butter". This is the second night, where BTS swept their award nominations at an American award show within the past couple of weeks! Although, BTS' popularity and fame around the world has grown tremendously over the past couple of years, there are still award shows, professionals within the music industries, and ordinary people, who do not understand BTS' positive impact on music, people, and our universe. So, to see BTS appreciate every award and nomination that they get is very humble of them. To hear BTS speak up about their known challenges of being a Korean act and trying to achieve success in the western music industry is very humble of them. To know BTS is working hard based on their love for music, performing, and wanting to help positively influence people around the world is humble of them.

For BTS to spread the word about loving oneself, to be kind to others, and to make this world a more optimistic place is the main reason why BTS has succeeded thus far. They have already shifted music and culture in many ways; So, let's see how much more they can push the norms and create a space for music and people to make this world a better place!

The 23rd Mnet Asian Music Awards will take place on December 11, 2021 at 4:00 PM KST, at CJ ENM Contents World, in Paju, South Korea. While the channels and digital streaming platforms have yet to be determined, this years award ceremony theme is titled, "Make Some Noise". ARMYs are excited to see if BTS can sweep at this years MAMA awards! While BTS' fandom loves the groups all out performances for this particular awards show, they are grateful that BTS has the opportunity to spend the holidays with their loved ones. BTS will not be performing nor attending this award show due to self-quarantine and being on vacation.

Voting for Worldwide Fan's Choice (Top 10) has already begun and will end within the next day - BTS currently leads with 16.50% of votes, as Stray Kids trails them with 15.29% of votes. BTS is also nominated for Best Male Group, Artist of The Year, Best Collaboration, Song of The Year - "Butter", Song of The Year -"My Universe" (Coldplay x BTS), Worldwide Fan's Choice (Top 10), and Best Dance Performance Male Group.

The 36th Golden Disk Awards will take place on January 08, 2022 at 3:00 PM KST, at the Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome, and will be broadcasted via JTBC, JTBC2, JTBC4, SEEZN, and TBS Channel 1. Depending on the COVID-19 situation, the Golden Disk Awards will update the public on whether or not the show will hold an in-person audience. Updates on the line-up will also be determined and announced soon; However, with BTS taking an official break, it is most likely that the members will not be attending nor performing for the upcoming Golden Disk Awards. The 2022 GRAMMYs will take place on January 31, 2022, at 5:00 PM PST, and will air on CBS, Paramount+ and on the Recording Academy / GRAMMYs official YouTube channel. This is BTS' second year being nominated for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. At BTS' press conference, ahead of their second day for their PERMISSION TO DANCE : ON STAGE in LA concert, BTS member, Suga, stated, "It's still a bit unbelievable. I grew up watching the GRAMMYs since I was little, so I feel excited that we're still nominated for it. Of course, it's not easy to be nominated for the GRAMMYs, but the fact that there's a barrier to jump over, sometimes to challenge ourselves too, is something I'm thankful for. And I hope we overcome it."
