Walking the Talk of Equity and Equality, #INWED24
Celebrating "International Women in Engineering Day" at Arcadis GEC offices in India was truly inspiring. Last month, on the 18th of June, we came together to recognize the achievements and stories of our talented women engineers. The overwhelming response from all locations highlighted our commitment to gender diversity and the importance of Equity and Equality in our work culture.
During the event, we honored women for their career accomplishments, management skills, and work-life balance achievements. Additionally, we raised awareness about the DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity and Belongingness) initiatives at Arcadis. The session featured real-life experiences and success stories from women at various career stages, showing the depth of talent and inspiration within our team.
The event included an engaging quiz on women in engineering worldwide, adding a fun and interactive element to the celebration. As the Gender Affinity Chair for India, I was privileged to lead these initiatives alongside Kamini Bongale , Deputy Chair, and a dedicated team of volunteers from various disciplines, Admin, HR, IT, and business leaders.
