Walking the St. Jame's Way

You always wonder what to do when you retire, well, almost retire. So I thought of something a bit challenging and also a bit out of my comfort zone. So between 2nd and 9th July I shall be walking 112kms of the St. Jame's way. Friends have asked me if I am looking for sponsors. Not sure if I could do the walk unaided I declined at first. However, now I have been in training for a couple of months and have lost a stone in weight I think I am up to the task.

Under 'find a charity' type in 1136696 and the name of my Rotary Club Southport Links should appear. in the column 'Select' click on donate, put in the amount you wish to donate and then tick the box as appropriate. If you choose special instructions please add your name and the reference JAB. The money will be collected in the trust fund of the Rotary club and when the walk is finished they will divide the amount raised by 2 and then write out 2 cheques. One to the Rotary Foundation for the End Polio Now campaign and the other to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul ( a Catholic charity that does a lot of work with the homeless, refugees and disadvantaged in our society). I hope that this isn't too complicated but this is one way where all the money donated gets to the charity without any charges being applied.
