Walking the Extra Mile
?"Keep one foot anchored in what you have learned and change other things in your business model in a systematic way: this is the pivot.”
There is a concept that stands out in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and it is Pivot. Camila Mejía, Customer Success Manager at Hakuna, shares this vision with us:
It is very expensive for a startup to go down the wrong path and realize that they are wrong after several months. It is crucial to be attentive to your direction and how context, needs, and priorities change along the process to make agile decisions and ensure you don’t lose focus.
As CSM, I see many clients go through these challenges, and we work together to ensure that the product always provides value and that the company grows as intended. Defining key metrics to constantly review if you are building a sustainable and scalable business is very important. It allows you to determine when to pivot and when to continue if you are on the right track.

The vision always remains constant; it is the strategy that pivots.?
?Ask the right questions at every stage to improve, evolve, and adapt your plan and execution. You could think about some of these to begin with:
?????What is the company's vision of success? It is essential to have a clear idea of success and critical metrics to understand how close we are to those objectives. Always start a project with the needed outcome in mind and the metrics that will determine the success. Doing this will allow you to spend resources and energy on core driving factors of the company's success.
??????What is the company planning to do, and what resources does it need to do it? Bad execution will kill the perfect plan. Having the right resources is vital to ensure performance at its best. Whether you solve it internally or look for a partner, it is crucial to have a clear roadmap for the execution.
??????Does it matter to be flexible? It is probably the most essential feature of building a successful business. You will learn by making mistakes. The sooner and faster you fail and learn, the sooner you will pivot and grow your business. Flexibility is significant and necessary. Your teams and resources must adapt to every new goal, stage, or need.
Walking the extra mile means doing more than one is required to do, and it's a core principle to succeed.?
