Walk The Talk

Walk The Talk

Every morning when we open and see our WhatsApp chat boxes, we do find quite a few good morning messages in many of our WhatsApp groups. These messages range from appreciating the positivity around, being grateful, acting with kindness and empathy etc. While there is nothing wrong with these messages most of the messages are just ignored or have to remain satisfied with a mere thumbs up as a reaction. In fact, it is not limited to the WhatsApp messages. We keep sending messages or giving advice to others all day without realising that we should be demonstrating that in our own behaviour first. Positive sayings and inspirational messages lose much of their impact if our own behaviours and attitudes do not match them.

We may talk of positivity but stay negative all day. We may promote kindness and empathy but be jealous of our colleagues, friends, neighbours, relatives etc. or cultivate hatred for others in our hearts. This defeats the purpose of sending the message as it is reduced to a mere hollow greeting. It may not be deliberate but as humans, the way we are programmed is that whenever we do any good, it is by being intentional. We are rarely are best selves on an automatic mode. We choose to be good and choose to act good.

Your communication gains integrity and authenticity when you live up to the words you spread. It reaffirms that the ideals stated are ideas that direct your behaviour rather than just empty words.

Applying affirmations on a regular basis builds your reputation in your network. People are more likely to appreciate and believe what you say when they see that you live up to your words.

Applying uplifting messaging might improve your emotional health. You'll probably feel happier and more fulfilled when you actively participate in positive ideas and actions.

You help cultivate a positive culture in your network by implementing positive messaging on a regular basis. This may result in a community where people encourage and support one another.

In conclusion, applying inspirational messages is where their real power resides. You gain directly from implementing these uplifting themes into your daily life, and you also help to create an environment that is more pleasant and encouraging for people around you.

Talking of forwarding WhatsApp messages in the morning, I received the following message today and shared with most of my friends: "Whatever content you consume the most, the universe will keep sending you similar content. If you give a lot of attention to something, whether positive of negative, all the universe detects is that you care about it and will send more like it." You forward a message because it resonates with you. And, it resonates with you because you have a bit of it inside you. Reading such positive messages again and again invokes that hidden wealth within you and slowly, but surely, it starts reflecting in your behavior. Consistency brings about the transformation. A time comes when you only see 'good' around you and in everyone.

Today we communicate free of charge and therefore endless number of messages are sent to many by many, are they all necessary? Aren’t we overcrowding the digital world and somebody’s own space if we only send empty, forwarded, impersonal, meaningless messages ? Do we settle for Endless connections, Fake likes and Unreal friends? Or do we want to build communities to inspire and support others? We all love meaningful relations … because I care for you Nothing greater than to say and to hear : ‘ I am here for you”. Let us walk the talk … vision and implementation .. also here

Yes I have found it much easier to express myself in the comments when my responses had been more of a choice than compulsion. Whenever I tried to respond because I thought I should, I had to think a lot more to find the right words..... probably because there's a subconscious uncertainty in my thoughts. Thanks for sharing this Nalin Chandna ??
