Walk Securely

Walk Securely

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.  Proverbs 10:9

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge in the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.  Galatians 5:13

I came across the following 12 Traits of Integrity by Coach Rich Kolster.

  1. They value other people's time. They value their own time so they certainly value other people's time as well. If you spend time with them, they will thank you for that.
  2. They give credit where credit is due. They always give credit to those that deserve it.
  3. They are authentic. You won’t catch them in a lie or being fake.
  4. They are always honest. It is important for them to get where they are going in life honestly.
  5. They never take advantage of others. They love to build others up and you will never find them taking too much from someone else.
  6. They do not argue over disagreements. They will talk through things in a civil manner. You cannot force a person of integrity into arguing over something completely ridiculous.
  7. They give most people the benefit of the doubt. They try to see the good in people, until they have a reason not to.
  8. They believe others, and accept your word as truth until it is disproven.
  9. They apologize first. They own up to mistakes and try to make things right.
  10. They are humble. While they are very important and do so much good, you sometimes have to remind them.
  11. They do good when they can. Improving someone else’s life gives their life meaning.
  12. They are always kind to those who need it. When someone needs a pick me up, they will deliver. They can brighten up almost anyone’s day.

You will notice that a person of integrity lives by Biblical principles combined with an extreme focus on serving others.
