??In the jungle, here the survival of the fittest is the law, the proficiency of perfect timing, the fine-tuning of sensory skills, the power of cooperation, pooling their expertise in team tactics played out on the battlefield of the wild and pushing the limits Make the Lion, King of the Jungle.?

?Now again, the big question is Why should the Lion be the jungle king? In a place where survival of the fittest is the rule of the game. Is Lion not the strongest nor the fastest? I am sure there are more robust and quicker animals than a lion.

?You must be amazed how lions can turn into predators by just working in a pack, where strategy, attitude, patience and coordination with each other are the rules of their game. Sharing is caring; it's a lion thing, most other cats are loners, but lions depend on each other to raise their youngsters to defend their territory, and the most important thing is to hunt. Their extraordinary ability to coordinate the attack gives them an extra edge.

?They hunt in a pack; the downside is that you are only as good as your weakest link, but they understand the benefits of pack hunting outweigh the drawbacks, and on average, the group hunt success is 1:3 chance, but the lone hunts have only 1:5 chance.

?They have three ingenious hunting strategies,?

?1. Ambush,?

?2. Blitz

?3. Seize.?

?Each of the tactics is tailored to the specific behaviours of the prey, each member has a role to play, and like any team, there are heroes and shirkers; without any calibration, pride and survival are at stake.

1. Ambush, in this hunting strategy,?the most vital skill is patience, the Lion is fast, but only in a short burst (short-run) they are built for speed, not for distance; if they don't get close enough, their prey will outrun them, too tight and they will give them self away, so choosing the right moment for the ambush is critical! Lions are masters in this.

?2. Blitz,?the 2nd hunting the strategy of lions, here he respects the fight and flight zone of their prey, where they spend time to know their prey territory and thoroughly study the moves of their prey and finally, they attack to penetrate the battleground of the target to overcome and hunt it down. It requires a lot of strategy skills and attitude.

??3. Siege,?in this strategy, lions observe and study their prey carefully, finding the right spot; he chooses the site and the timing according to their strength. He usually takes the target to his good place by chasing the prey and finally attacking the tamarkith his pack; choosing the right timing and taking turns to attack with his group will eventually enhance his pack's power in this hunting style.

?By looking at Lion's strategic move, which makes him the king of the Jungle, Sales and marketers can also learn the movements of Lions to enhance their sales figures to the next level.

?Let's see if we can use these Lion's Moves to bolster our overall sales.

?1. Ambush Sales strategy?– Market leaders should always follow ambush strategies to guard their position – lessen the risk of being attacked, decrease the effects of attacks and strengthen their position.??

?The critical points for the Ambush Strategy: ?

  • Only the market leader should consider playing ambush and attack simultaneously. The market leader must ensure that the competitors sniping at it is kept at bay.
  • ??The best ambush strategy is the courage to attack yourself constantly. The market leaders should never rest on their past successes or glory but should continuously look to improve the existing product offering or introduce newer ones. Apple, for example, plays a great Ambush & Attack game by launching new products that make their existing ones obsolete.
  • ???Competitive solid moves should permanently be blocked immediately. If competitive actions are not blocked effectively, it will give the competition time and space to entrench itself. ?

?2. Blitz Sales strategy?– A strong competitor to the market leader should practise blitz strategies to?attack the Major competitor's customers at all given points in time? ?

The critical points for the blitz strategist:

The blitz's primary concern should be on focusing on the strength of the competitor's product positioning; Attacking the product positioning of competitors is an approach that gives the placement of your message in a prospective customer's mind more vociferously. Yes, the blitzing player should look at all aspects, including its strengths and weaknesses. Still, the primary focus is to understand the critical power of the product positioning of the leader.

The blitz players should look for a?weakness?in their competitor's product positioning—an attack on as narrow a front as possible. The blitz player should not look at a broad attack. Your blitz strategy describes how you will sell your product or service to your target customer. Your blitz strategy should outline the most effective way of converting competition customers into your customers and describe methods of converting one-time buyers into repeat customers.

?Do study the moves of your competitors closely. Remember that you're competing for more than just sales figures. Take a closer look at their promotions, products, social media, pricing, branding and content– analyse the entire package of what they are offering so you can figure out how to do it better.??

3. Siege Sales Strategy?–In this Sales strategy, competitors should operate in areas of little importance to the leading competitors. Niche products promotion could be a good siege strategy. A good siege move must be made into an uncontested space. Ideally, they should look at a new category that their competitors have not considered seriously. Tactical surprise ought to be an essential element in this plan. Surprise is crucial because it would delay the competitor from launching an immediate attack with its resources. Find a segment of the market small enough to attack. The feature could be geographical, it could be demographic, and it could be price also.

In siege, attack, retreat, hide, then do it again and again until the competitor moves on to other markets. No matter how successful you become in the market, never act like a leader; a siege player should always be lean and nimble. We should always believe that the key to competitive success is to create unique value; creating value, not beating rivals, should be at the heart of competition.

?In today's increasingly crowded product marketplace, it's essential to have a solid competitive sales strategy to ensure you stay one step ahead of your competitors in customers' minds.
