Walk For Inclusion

What an auspicious day after a long time I went for a social cause as its a part of my interest. I was so excited that I can't even sleep as have to reach at Kanteerava stadium by 5:30 am but reached there at 4:30 am itself as I got down can feel good vibes as the cold wind starts blowing weather was fabulous music was on to manage & support Walkers volunteers were there.
The reason I got to know about this event was through one of the volunteers of this event Miss Reshma(Guruji), she is a friend of mine as she is very much active in social causes. She has introduced me to her teammates and friends it was an interactive section for me.
As I saw even disable Walkers are there they were so much enthusiasm for this walk that after meeting them my energy got double. Now hear some sounds from the stage volunteer was calling all the Walkers towards the stage as its 5:55 am. He said before starting a walk lets do some warm-up we all did stretching then one by one all the disable walkers has instructed the crowd how to help disabled humans gained knowledge from them.
Here comes the surprising part as we all have to pair up with the buddy standing next to you and one has to tie a strip in his or her eye and with the support of your buddy you have to finish the walk of 5 kilometers. I was shocked and the question arises in my mind how?
I meet Mr Balaji who was my buddy and I asked him to tie that strip around my eyes, now the walk begins as a human who can't see, different experience for me as I am taking steps ahead towards my goal. Thanks to Mr Balaji for outstanding support.
While I was walking a thought just strike in my mind for a few minutes my eyes got close how I am feeling that I need a person to help me reeling on a human for few minutes is fine lots of humans will come forward to help or support you but what about those humans who are suffering from this disability in real and still living a healthy life without any complain or ask for any help. Smiling cheering the walkers they are the real HEROES and walking with us for a cause. One disable volunteer while instructing the walkers said: “ I am a human without a vision” but as per I think he is the one with vision why?
As inspiring all walkers to walk with strip covered on human eyes is his vision for a social cause and we all were there to support him.
This thought draw a big smile on my face and I completed my WALK FOR INCLUSION in 45 minutes, received the best medal of my life with a quote on it:
She has been hand-made by women,
The women who live by the ocean,
The women whose lives changed
Forever after the tsunami,
The women who are exploring
a new way of living,
The women who are
Empowering themselves.
A big thanks to Miss Reshma for adding a beautiful memory in this journey of life.
