There once was homeless man in London who was settling in for the night. He was very hungry, very tired and feeling quiet miserable. His home for the night was along an embankment on the river Thames. He had just hunkered down into his old tattered blanket and was on the verge of another restless night of sleep when suddenly a chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce pulled up beside him. Out from the car stepped a beautiful young lady who said to him,
"My poor man, are you planning on spending the night here on this embankment"?
?To which the homeless man said, "Yes I am".
She said, "I won't have it. You're coming to my house, and you're going to spend a comfortable night there, and you're going to get a good dinner". She then insisted on him getting into her car.
They were then driven out of London and eventually got to a place where the woman had a sprawling mansion with extensive grounds. They were ushered in by the butler, to whom the woman said,
"James, please make sure that this man is put in the servants' quarters and treated very well". This is exactly James did.
Much later that evening the young lady who had undressed and was about to go to bed suddenly remembered her guest for the night. So she slipped something on and made her way along the corridor to the servants' quarters. She saw a little chink of light from the room where the homeless man had been put up. She tapped lightly at the door, opened it, and found the man still awake. She said,
"What's the trouble, my good man, didn't you get a good meal"?
He said, "Never had a better meal in my life, my lady".
"Are you warm enough"?
He said, "Yes, lovely warm bed".
Then she said, "Maybe you need a little company. Why don't you move over a bit".
And she came closer to him, and he moved over and fell right into the Thames!
