?Food prices ease despite inflation remaining the same ??

Although many predicted that inflation would begin to fall due to decreasing food costs, it has instead remained the same at 8.7%, being kept high by the rising cost of cars, flights and fuel. However, it's not all bad news as food prices are still the lowest they've been since 2022 according to a recent study.

As a whole, influencer marketing has drastically changed with an emphasis being on turning followers away from brands they dislike rather than towards ones they do. This poses an issue for many companies that rely on influencers to contact their audiences and as a result, many businesses are beginning to reassess the best way to promote on social media.

The fried Chick*n brand has been consistently growing over the last few years and now is attempting to expand its range through the acquisition of Meatless Farm. Following the recent news of their bankruptcy, VFC took the opportunity to swoop in and buy out the alternative giant to bolster their vegan selection.

Waitrose hints at Japanese own label range ??

Gearing up to release an all-new menu, Waitrose has begun to apply for a number of trademarks including the name "Japan Menyu" and a matching logo to go along with it. This new menu could potentially include products like sake, prepared meats and sushi as they expand their own brand range after the split with chef Heston Blumenthal.
