Hey there!?It’s National Tell A Joke Day and, by the looks of it, everybody could do with a little emotional uplift. According to Gallup, half of employees experience daily stress, 38% report feeling worried, and one in five struggles with sadness every day.

While these issues need to be tackled at their roots, thoughtful gestures can help in their own small ways. One company in China has started offering employees 10 days of “unhappy leave” while the famously mysterious street artist Banksy has spent the week adorning buildings with animal artwork, apparently aiming to “cheer up the public during a period when the news headlines have been bleak”.
