Waiting for Hybrid-joined Session Hosts - or syncing on demand #AVD

While had the challenge today:?

Hybrid join is needed to have SSO to teams, Office, OneDrive, and other apps. Also, conditional access works "better" with hybrid-joined hosts. At least if you cannot go AAD-only.

If you deploy new hybrid-joined session hosts, you have to wait for the replication of ADConnect. If users connect before everything is in place, they will get a lousy user experience. The process could take up to 30 minutes.

What can we do?

• Coming next: I'm adding a wait condition to my automation tool to hold the host in drain mode after everything is fine.
