Wait. You feel like a criminal? But why?

I go to the airport to take a flight and I stand in that long queue and have to screen baggage and get patted down. God forbid that I travel International and they make me take off belt and shoes and make me walk around like a retard carrying shoes and half my clothes in hand when doing the connection halfway in Europe or in America or even if I go off to the Far East. We don't complain.

If I go to a movie theater these days, I have to go through the security process. Any decent restaurant or hotel these days also has screeners and security processes for both my car and for the individual. Heck, I can't even walk into a mall without a security check.

I jokingly tell them that the bomb is under the driver's seat, just to see their scared reaction. Mindlessly they do their jobs and we also stop and comply.

No, I neither feel like a criminal or a terrorist when I go through the process. I know that it isn't there as a process against me, it is there to protect me. I feel at peace, knowing that there are some checks and balances (however idiotic some of them are) to keep that environment safe.

Why does cracking down on black money, bother you so much, my friend, that it makes you feel like a criminal and all? I presume the next time you stand in the security queue in the airport, you will say no? and they'll still let you fly?

The way that I was taught was that the law was for the law breakers. You have nothing to worry about if you adhere to it. It's like causing a hue and cry just because there is a cop standing with a radar gun on my way to work every day. If I am not over-speeding, why should it bother me? He is doing his job and I'm going about my merry way. so what am I missing here, Mr. Sen?

Vijay, standing in line is the least of the problems. The economy has ground to a halt. Most of the small and medium enterprises production is down by more than 50%, informal sector which is not black money but genuine operations have gone for a toss. We should learn to walk before we start running. He should have gone in for cash less economy for government payments before making everyone stand in the line. There is a hospital payment which my friend needs cash as hospital does not accept cash. Now we are running from pillar to post.

Not all people stand in the queues of airport, cinema theatre, or even in religious centres. Only people who wanted to go, they go. But for just less than 5% of population's crime of boarding black money, 95% was made to stand for the last few days! Do they have the guts to target top corporate leaders and the top politicians of this country and make them pay for their sins? This should have been a top-down approach instead of bottom-up approach. Don't blame the common men.. they are what they are because they are forced to be like that. If he fights for his cause, he will be put to all kind of hardships..
