At this moment my mind is filled with a hodgepodge of information. So let's start with this. When my daughter was around five years old, she spent a day with her great aunt. As I picked her up, I asked, “Did you do anything today that made Auntie put you on time-out?” Her response was brilliantly evasive and powerfully subtle: “What did she tell you?” This unique five-year-old wasn’t about to incriminate herself unless she knew for sure I had already spoken with her aunt. I had to stifle my laughter as I calmly said, “Answer the question.”
Why share this story? It's amusing to see a child trying to outwit the system, but it becomes a different tale when we witness grown adults lying, cheating, stealing, and abusing, all while denying the rumors until someone releases undeniable evidence. Some claim to be appalled at the person they see in the video, while others boldly protest, “Are you going to believe what you heard or me?” Everyone is eventually sorry once they’ve been caught. It’s funny at five years old but disturbing as an adult who should know better. Society, however, often allows them to continue because, as they say, “Money, power, and respect are all we need in life.”
But is that truly what we need? I feel sorry for those who, at the age of five, were allowed to act from a place of self-preservation instead of being held accountable and raised to be good humans. This reflection brings me to a broader point of consciousness.
As we release a cleansing breath and bid farewell to the weekend, I offer a collective spirit of manifestation, prayer, or positivity—whichever way you speak to your soul. “I want to see all of you win this week and the week after that, and for each week after. I want each day you walk your journey to be better than the day before. May your life be filled with abundance—abundance of love, family, friends, and finances.” I wish for all these things for you and for myself.

This week, let’s make each person we encounter light up with enthusiasm. Let’s fill voids in their lives with light, respect, and understanding. Let’s cheer for each other, and just as the wings of a butterfly may cause a ripple of wind on the other side of the Earth, so should our intentions. Let’s erase the lines that divide us and understand that we are stronger united than divided.
Remember this: an unhealed person can find offense in almost anything someone does. A healed person understands that the actions of others have nothing to do with them. Each day, you get to decide which one you will be. As my Sunday night drifts off with peace, love, and happiness, and this week, make it your determination to make that change.
