Wabash Dealer Network: Wabash Canada
Wabash’s dealer network plays a crucial role in delivering best-in-class solutions and customer experiences for fleets of all sizes.
As part of our ecosystem, Wabash Canada has been a trusted partner since 2006, offering innovative trailer products and tailored solutions for fleet optimization. We recently had the chance to speak with Neil Christensen , Executive Vice President of Sales at Wabash Canada, about their customer-first approach and how it continues to drive success.
For Christensen, everything begins with a focus on solving customer challenges.
“We reinforce the Total Cost of Ownership model and use our Fleet Assessment tools to identify and inform customers on the ideal trailer specifications, optimizing for the lowest life cycle costs,” he explained.
By educating customers on these long-term cost factors, Wabash Canada ensures that each decision considers the full picture—emphasizing the lifetime value of an asset over immediate costs. This customer-centric philosophy extends into their Fleet Assessments, a process that involves going far beyond traditional equipment sales. Christensen detailed how Wabash Canada goes to great lengths to fully understand the needs of each fleet.
“We visit a customer’s yard, inspect the equipment, look at how the freight is loaded, and speak directly with drivers, dockworkers, and dispatchers. It’s a comprehensive approach that lets us identify what’s working and what’s causing unnecessary downtime.”
Armed with this information, Wabash Canada provides actionable insights that help fleets reduce costs and improve uptime.
One of the most notable examples of this approach can be seen in their work with a large grocery reefer fleet. Years ago, this customer was facing frequent damage to the lower internal sidewalls of their trailers.
“The floor turnup was cracking due to continued impact,” Christensen said. “We collaborated with Wabash Engineering to design an internal wall support that eliminated the issue. This solution saved grocery fleets thousands of dollars in damage repair and extended the life of their reefer trailers.”
A similar story unfolded when Wabash Canada partnered with an automotive parts customer facing a unique set of challenges. The customer required both durable interior protection and a lightweight design to meet their payload requirements.
“We leveraged Wabash’s interior design to provide a snag-free, protected interior, and used lighter, high-strength materials to hit the tare weight needed,” Christensen explained.

These personalized solutions exemplify how Wabash Canada goes beyond standard offerings, tailoring equipment to the specific needs of each application.
In addition to optimizing trailer designs, Wabash Canada has significantly expanded its services. Since 2009, the company has offered repair and maintenance services, continually broadening its expertise.
“We started performing these services as Wabash Canada and expanded further in 2017 with GoRight Fleet Solutions, a fleet maintenance business that enhances our offerings,” Christensen noted.
This expansion allows Wabash Canada to not only supply fleets with the right equipment but also ensure that they stay on the road longer, saving customers time and money.
Technology is also playing a big role in Wabash Canada’s evolution. Their creation of Mirlin Technologies, an enterprise software business, is a testament to their commitment to optimizing fleet performance.
" Mirlin Technologies provides an integrated fleet management and maintenance platform,” Christensen said. “It helps optimize fleet life cycle costs, trailer uptime, and even predicts future maintenance needs using AI-enabled capabilities.”
By leveraging repair and maintenance data collected over the years, Wabash Canada offers customers unparalleled insights.
Ultimately, Wabash Canada’s dedication to its customers doesn’t stop at delivering quality equipment—it’s about providing end-to-end solutions throughout the entire ownership lifecycle. From initial trailer design to AI-powered predictive analytics, Wabash Canada is continually finding ways to enhance fleet operations and reduce costs.
“We’re here to help our customers from the beginning, by designing their specifications, to loading their assets into our software solution. We then assist with repair and maintenance, all while providing insightful analytics to help optimize their fleet,” Christensen concluded.
