WA Mining – Blockchain Applications
Process automation and big data, initially predicted to be a gradual introduction into the mining industry has come at a fast pace, i.e. Fortescue Mining’s autonomous vehicles and their establishment of their R&D hub with new technologies emerging as common practice for new mines.
The attached whitepaper by infosys shows how blockchain can help continue the trend in areas of provenance, contract management, traceability and maintenance.
So, in a State, so heavily reliant on their natural resources and trade, why don’t we in the new-tech space working on blockchain logistics and automations, try initiate contact and worthwhile connections with our industry leaders - Woodside, BHP, RIO TINTO and others, outside those philanthropists that are continually supportive of the State i.e. Mr Andrew Forrest and Ms Gina Rinehart and link to SME mining businesses to support our technological subsidiary companies (in a commercial and practical sense) to gap fill and improve our sluggish two-speed economy, driving all industries and our economy into top-gear.
Remembering, 'contacts' are not 'contracts', but it's a start to network associated businesses and help make our State great!
