Is vulnerability a marketing trick?
Today I would like to talk about authenticity and vulnerability
For many, the amount of personal content and intimate sharing is continuously rising. The emotional details of our lives are shared with the public at large and are no longer restricted to our close family, friends, co-workers and therapists anymore.
How do you show up?
When you apply for a job or enter any business relationship, even though this is not considered correct, a quick social media search is often conducted. Who’s this person? What will he /she bring into our space?
Showing up as you are, with your strengths and flaws allows others to connect. So, the first quick conclusion to draw is: yes, authenticity and vulnerability are good things. Remember, a Brand is created in the mind and is no less than a network of associations.
Showing up as you are makes it possible for others to associate. It allows them to determine who you are to them. For yourself it will attract the situation where you can flourish and shine.

So, is vulnerability a trick?
If vulnerability is part of who you are it is certainly not a trick. Use it, and you will be recognised as truthful. If it is not who you are, it will be associated with a trick. And just to be pragmatic, it is awfully tiresome to be someone you are not.
To quote the inspiring Brené Brown
Vulnerability is not weakness; it’s our greatest measure of courage.
Succes starts with a good story
So, the question who are you? ?What is your story? What do you bring to the table is paramount wouldn’t you agree?
