"Vulnerability, The Inner Struggles of Emotion and Self-Protection"
At times, we sit and realize how naive we are in everything we do. We know so little about everything, just like a drop in the sea; we're lost. The feelings and emotions we carry are so momentary. We flow with our adrenaline rush and act as if there is no tomorrow. We react emotionally to everything and everyone. But the question is, do these momentary emotions deserve our time and energy? The answer is no, yet we still struggle to hold ourselves and react to every situation, which is definitely not necessary. How to overcome that? The answer is still in the dark. I read somewhere that the more we see the darkness, the less we see what is around us. Similarly, the more we see our dark side, the more we lose sight of happiness around us. But is it easy to ignore what is pre-existing in us? No, it's not possible to overlook that, but what we can do is ignore it. "Ignorance is bliss" is what Gautama Buddha has taught us through his teachings.
But how far do we take his teachings?
Ignoring what is inside us, our feelings which emotionally drain us, our reactions which make us more vulnerable, is hard. We choose the path that seems easier and gives ease to our hearts. Even if that path is full of vulnerability, we blame others for what is happening to us. We blame ourselves too, but in that, we also find reasons for others being there who made us like this. Happiness lies within; external factors just enhance that a bit. Knowing yourself, your dark side, your happiness, your well-being, and how to take care of your heart, emotions, and feelings are all within ourselves. We just forget to understand it.

Protecting ourselves is important. Protecting our hearts is important.
Osho once said meditation works well when what is bothering is kept aside. Keeping ourselves mute and numb has never worked out. Not every action needs your reaction, and not every reaction has to be volatile in nature. Vulnerability can cause a lot of harm, and this vulnerability can keep you in a dark loop for a long time. Still, even after knowing all these, we are so vulnerable from the inside that we can't control ourselves. "One at a time" is a quote that we read but never implement in our personal well-being. To do this, we should know what is bothering us. If we know, we can definitely work on each of the problems one at a time.
Knowing what is bothering us is important. Taking action to rectify it is important. Being good to yourself is important, and most importantly, being happy from within is important.
But in the process of protecting ourselves, we should not harm others. We should not let others experience the same pain we have been struggling with.
