Vulner"ability"

Well-being, mental health, vulnerability, "it's ok to be not ok"... And many phrases or concepts like these have become part of our lives since sometime. This is also - again - driven by the evolvement of generations, work environment, and the world itself.
We're taught, coached, mentored on this intensively. We see an increasing need of keeping our 'human' part in the foreground to stay relevant in the age of AI. And one of the main features of a human is being vulnerable. If you would like to build stronger connections with your team members, colleagues etc., we should be able to & feel comfortable to show our vulnerability.
While listening the song below on the way to home, I thought "Yes, I know that I don't need to be waterproof." but then I also realized knowing is not enough to apply. There are sufficient resources around to know (even learn further) about it. However doing it is a special ability and this is highly impacted by how-where-when you're grown up - in my p.o.w. Thinking of the culture and period I was raised, we were always expected to be strong, resilient and in go-on mood. As these have become the core of our personalities, now it needs much more effort and energy to make a turn around.
This could be the case for many cultures or some generations. Therefore companies, leaders, colleagues need to be aware of this - I mean if someone is not able to show vulnerability it doesn't necessarily mean that they're not capable nor they're robotic humans, it could very well be the case that they need more time to change.

And yes, it's good to continue seeding with literature, role-modeling, coaching but it could be necessary to wait some more time for generations to change to see the fructification and embodiment...
Enjoy the music ??
English translation of the chorus
You don't always have to be waterproof
Just show it
Then not the strongest
Because no, you don't have to be perfect, do you?
Resist those mountains
Another time but further
So if you sometimes want to cry and scream, it's okay
And if it doesn't come out, baby, I'll scream with you
You don't always have to be waterproof
Just show it
Then not the strongest
