The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections initiated a VR testing program designed for prisoners to get closer to their families, even from a distance, and enter daily life quickly. It received funding of $680,000 from the U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice to buy 21 Meta Quest 2 Headsets and develop 11 VR experiences to let imprisoned parents connect better with their children.
