Our client, a TSX-V-listed mineral exploration company with a portfolio of base & precious metals projects in North America, is seeking an experienced Vice President of Exploration to lead the company's exploration efforts throughout the region. The successful candidate will report to the CEO and direct all exploration activities across the company's portfolio.??
- Develop and execute exploration strategies and programs to maximise value creation;
- Manage and mentor a team of geologists and exploration staff;
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including health and safety protocols;
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the exploration team;
- Monitor industry trends and innovations, and apply best practices to the company's exploration activities;
- Manage exploration budgets and timelines to meet corporate objectives;
- Collaborate with other teams, including project development and investor relations, to ensure effective communication and alignment of objectives;
- Conduct due diligence on potential exploration targets and acquisitions.
- University qualified in geoscience discipline;
- 12+ years of relevant experience in mineral exploration, including a track record of discovery success in Nth America;
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing and mentoring technical teams;
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute exploration strategies and programs that deliver results;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively;
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
